The devious god Loki, driven to the brink of insanity by his solitude, has long searched for a way to further torment Baldur. Baldur, who was thought to be invulnerable, was killed by one of Loki's dastardly shenanigans. For reasons unknown to any but himself, Loki intends to find a way to make certain that Baldur falls victim to torment eternal.
In Norse mythology, Loki is a fire giant and trickster deity. After learning that his nemesis Odin had long-ago created an artifact that had until now eluded detection, Loki lusts after the mysterious power of that relic. Loki plans to use the full extent of his power to influence mortals in order to obtain what he desires, despite all risk.
