Running Software

Now that we are online, let's see how the system runs a few tasks. I will try out Web surfing with Firefox while chatting with some friends on Pidgin.

The system runs this sort of thing well. It runs comparably to my laptop (1.86 GHz Intel Centrino with 1 GB of RAM), which is about what I was expecting. The programs load quickly and are quite responsive, and the wireless keyboard and mouse run without any hiccups. It appears that any software my parents would want to use will run perfectly fine.

Unfortunately, I don't have any retail games to try on it, so I'm afraid that if you want to know more about that, the information will have to be found elsewhere. But don't worry - this report is drawing to a close soon.
